What we collect, why, how it's stored, and how to have it removed.

Note for the site owner: this policy describes the practices this website is built to follow. Have it reviewed by an attorney before launch and adjust it to match what your business actually does — particularly the retention periods and the list of third-party processors.
Who we are
Double Eagle Financial LLC provides bookkeeping and financial reporting services to real estate agents and contractors. For questions about this policy or about data we hold, email hello@doubleeaglefinancial.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Through website forms: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, business name, business type, approximate revenue range, and whatever you write in the message fields.
- As a client: the financial records needed to perform bookkeeping — transaction data, statements, commission or job documentation, and prior tax returns you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
If analytics are enabled on this site, we collect standard usage data: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP, and device type. This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store full online banking credentials, card numbers, or Social Security numbers through this website. Access to client financial accounts is granted through each platform's own read-only permission system, never by sharing passwords.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a Profit Leak Audit.
- To deliver contracted bookkeeping and reporting services.
- To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
- To improve the website, in aggregate and never in a way that identifies you individually.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and every email we send you can be replied to directly.
Who we share it with
Only where necessary to run the service: our accounting software provider, our secure document storage provider, our form and email delivery providers, and your CPA where you have asked us to coordinate. Each is bound by its own confidentiality obligations. We will disclose information if legally required to do so, and will tell you where we are permitted to.
How it is protected
- Multi-factor authentication on every account that can reach client data.
- Access-controlled cloud storage; access limited to people working on your file.
- Read-only access to client financial accounts — we cannot initiate transactions.
- Encrypted transmission (HTTPS) for everything submitted through this site.
- No client financial statements circulated by unencrypted email attachment.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you promptly and tell you what happened.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data from website forms is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted unless you become a client. Client financial records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and professional record-keeping rules — generally seven years — after which they are securely destroyed.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email hello@doubleeaglefinancial.com and we will act within 30 days, subject to records we are legally required to keep. Your QuickBooks file belongs to your own subscription and remains yours regardless.
Cookies
This site uses no cookies of its own. If analytics or scheduling tools are enabled, those providers may set their own — this section should be updated to name them once configured.
Children
This site and these services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and notify active clients by email.
